Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and escort them to exam rooms, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting providers and educating them on procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, phlebotomy, and EKGs as required by state regulations.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and maintain up-to-date patient documentation.
- Assist with inventory management of medical supplies and ensure exam rooms are stocked and sanitized.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and follow-up appointments.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from an accredited institution.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or ambulatory care setting preferred.
- Strong proficiency in computer systems and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities effectively.
