Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Administer medications, injections, and perform vital sign assessments
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems and maintain accurate documentation
- Coordinate patient scheduling and communicate effectively with healthcare team
- Perform basic laboratory tests and specimen collection
- Ensure clinic compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Assist with inventory management and supply ordering
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or experience preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to multitask
- Texas state license or eligibility
- Spanish bilingual skills highly desirable
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional weekends
