Responsibilities
- Assist physicians in patient examinations and clinical procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic laboratory tests
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms and medical equipment
- Update and manage electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA) or graduate from accredited program
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a hospital setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
