Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Administer injections, take vital signs, and perform EKGs
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and maintain accurate patient documentation
- Schedule appointments and handle patient correspondence
- Stock exam rooms and ensure medical supplies are properly maintained
- Assist with lab specimen collection and basic laboratory procedures
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a medical setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Current CPR/BLS certification
