Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist physicians and healthcare providers with patient exams, treatments, and procedures to ensure a smooth patient flow.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient intake, update electronic health records (EHR), and prepare medical charts for appointments.
- Laboratory Duties: Perform basic lab tests, such as urine analysis and blood draws, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Pharmacy Coordination: Accurately process medication refills and coordinate prescription deliveries between patients and pharmacies.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients and the healthcare team, answering questions and providing education.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office or clinic setting.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Skills: Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) software and strong computer literacy.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients of all backgrounds.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
