Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Assist physicians during clinical procedures and examinations
- Administer medications and injections as directed
- Perform basic lab tests and EKGs
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and sterilize equipment
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule appointments
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in team settings
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends
