Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Administer medications and injections following clinical protocols
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and patient documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Assist with inventory management and sterilization of equipment
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- 1+ years of clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- New York State Medical Assistant certification required
