Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, measurements, and history taking accurately and efficiently.
- Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures as directed.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring strict adherence to infection control protocols.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and complete necessary documentation in a timely manner.
- Administer medications and perform basic lab tests as per state regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients to ensure comfort and understanding of treatment plans.
- Coordinate patient follow-ups and referrals as needed.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a primary care or specialty setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems (EMR).
