Responsibilities
- Assist physicians in patient examinations and procedures
- Perform vital signs measurements and patient intake assessments
- Prepare and administer medications as per physician orders
- Collect and process laboratory specimens
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR)
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule management
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a medical office
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Strong phlebotomy and injection skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
