Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies with 99% accuracy
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits before service delivery
- Resolve billing discrepancies and claim denials through effective communication
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and healthcare billing standards
- Generate monthly reports on billing performance and revenue collection metrics
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure proper documentation and coding
- Utilize Epic EMR system for efficient claim submission and tracking
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in medical coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
- Expert knowledge of insurance claim processes and payer requirements
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with Epic EMR and billing software (e.g., Medisoft)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
