Responsibilities
- Process and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
- Manage denial resolution and appeals processes
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and coding regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams on documentation accuracy
- Generate monthly reports for revenue cycle analysis
- Conduct regular audits of billing codes and documentation
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinical setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Expert knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage high-volume claim submissions efficiently
- BS in Health Information Management preferred
