Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in acute care settings including ICU, ER, and Telemetry units
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures per facility protocols
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in EMR systems
- Maintain infection control standards and ensure patient safety compliance
- Adapt quickly to new healthcare environments and protocols
- Participate in shift handoffs and team meetings to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California or compact state with ability to obtain CA license
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience in specialty unit
- BSN or higher degree preferred (ADN considered with experience)
- BLS, ACLS, and any specialty-specific certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and adaptability skills in dynamic environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Successful completion of facility-specific orientation and competencies
