Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies with 95%+ accuracy
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to service
- Follow up on denied claims and resolve billing discrepancies
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Utilize Epic and NextGen EMR systems for coding and billing
- Generate monthly reports for revenue cycle analysis
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure accurate documentation
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinical setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial insurance guidelines
- Advanced experience with billing software (Epic, NextGen, or similar)
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field
