Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies with 99% accuracy
- Manage denial appeals and claim resubmissions within 48 hours
- Verify patient demographics and insurance coverage pre-service
- Perform regular audits of billing codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) for compliance
- Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve billing discrepancies
- Maintain patient financial records in EHR systems
- Stay updated on CMS regulations and payer policies
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expertise in medical coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
- Proficiency in billing software (Epic, Cerner, or NextGen)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance
