Responsibilities
- Verify patient demographics and insurance eligibility to ensure accurate billing.
- Accurately code medical procedures and diagnoses using ICD-10 and CPT guidelines.
- Submit and follow up on claims with insurance carriers (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial).
- Analyze denied or rejected claims to identify errors and resubmit for payment.
- Maintain detailed records of billing transactions and patient financial accounts.
- Communicate with patients regarding outstanding balances and payment plans.
- Reconcile daily cash receipts and bank deposits.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Willingness to complete the company-sponsored paid training program.
