Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments while maintaining OSHA compliance protocols
- Take accurate dental radiographs and impressions for diagnostic purposes
- Manage patient charts and digital records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Deliver post-operative instructions and chairside comfort measures
- Coordinate treatment plans and insurance verification processes
- Maintain inventory of clinical supplies and order materials as needed
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification from CODA-accredited program
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and infection control procedures
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and charting systems
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- CPR certification and X-ray license (Texas State Board)
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment with attention to detail
