Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for 15+ daily procedures
- Assist surgeons during complex orthopedic, neuro, and general surgeries
- Maintain accurate instrument counts per AORN standards
- Coordinate sterile processing and inventory management
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and Joint Commission protocols
- Train on da Vinci robotic systems and advanced energy devices
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
- 1+ years recent OR experience in Level I trauma center
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in sterile processing and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to stand 8+ hours with frequent lifting (50 lbs)
- Excellent communication skills for high-pressure environments
