Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies following HIPAA guidelines
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to service
- Resolve claim denials and manage accounts receivable follow-up
- Code medical services using CPT and ICD-10 standards
- Maintain accurate patient billing records and documentation
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding billing inquiries
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure charge accuracy
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential preferred
- Proficiency in medical billing software (e.g., Epic, Medisoft)
- Strong knowledge of CPT/HCPCS codes and insurance regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
