Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 98% accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits across multiple insurance carriers
- Resolve claim denials and appeals within SLA timelines
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document charge captures
- Analyze aging reports to optimize revenue cycle performance
- Train staff on billing system updates and coding changes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a US healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding
- Proficiency in Epic, EclinicalWorks, or similar EHR systems
- Experience with Blue Cross, UnitedHealth, and Medicare claims
- Strong analytical skills for complex claim resolution
- Exceptional communication for patient/provider interactions
