Responsibilities
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers)
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits before service
- Review EOBs and resolve claim denials/rejections
- Maintain accurate patient billing records in EMR system
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding balances
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and coding guidelines
- Generate monthly reports for revenue cycle analysis
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) preferred
- Proficient in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Experience with Epic or NextGen EMR systems
- Strong knowledge of insurance claim processes
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environment
