Responsibilities
- Accurately code medical services using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines
- Submit clean claims to commercial insurance payers and government programs
- Manage denial resolution and appeals processes with 95%+ accuracy
- Conduct insurance verification and pre-authorizations for all procedures
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient billing records and documentation
- Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve billing discrepancies
- Generate monthly revenue reports for financial analysis
- Stay updated on CMS regulations and payer policy changes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinical setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Expert knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Proficiency in Epic, Athenahealth, or NextGen EHR platforms
- Strong understanding of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial insurance rules
