- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service rendering
- Analyze and resolve claim denials and underpayments
- Maintain accurate patient accounts and billing records
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Collaborate with clinical staff to document charges correctly
- Generate monthly reports on billing performance metrics
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in medical coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
- Knowledge of insurance claim processes and reimbursement methodologies
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with EHR/billing software (Epic or Cerner a plus)
