Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument handling and suction management
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with proper safety protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain strict infection control standards
- Manage patient scheduling, billing inquiries, and digital record documentation
- Provide chairside support during exams, fillings, extractions, and cosmetic procedures
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene best practices
- Monitor inventory and order dental supplies and materials
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior dental experience necessary – training provided
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- CPR certification required (will be provided if needed)
- Willingness to obtain Dental Assistant certification within 6 months
