Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance providers with 98%+ accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits before service delivery
- Resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies through effective communication
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific regulations
- Utilize Epic and NextGen EHR systems for coding and billing operations
- Generate monthly reports on A/R metrics and denial trends
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure complete documentation
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a hospital or clinic setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expert knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Proficiency in medical billing software (Epic, NextGen, or similar)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for payer negotiations
- Associate degree in healthcare administration or related field
