Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in various clinical settings including ER, ICU, and Med-Surg units
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precision
- Monitor patient vitals and document electronic health records accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO and facility-specific protocols
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control standards
- Educate patients and families on discharge procedures
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Louisiana or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Flexibility to work 24-32 hours weekly across variable shifts
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments
- Travel nursing experience preferred
