Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies with 95%+ accuracy
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits eligibility
- Resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Generate monthly financial reports and aging reports
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure documentation completeness
- Utilize Epic EMR and medical billing software efficiently
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential preferred
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid billing rules
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Experience with claim scrubbing and denial management
