Responsibilities
- Review medical records and insurance documentation to ensure accuracy before claims submission.
- Submit and follow up on claims with insurance carriers (Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid).
- Responsible for posting payments, adjustments, and denials.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding outstanding balances and insurance issues.
- Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) software to manage billing cycles efficiently.
- Stay up-to-date with changing healthcare regulations and coding standards (ICD-10, CPT).
