Responsibilities
- Accurately code and submit medical claims to insurance companies using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
- Manage patient accounts and resolve billing discrepancies through effective communication
- Analyze claim denials and develop appeals strategies for maximum reimbursement
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and insurance regulations
- Utilize Epic and Medisoft systems for billing operations
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure documentation accuracy
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expert knowledge of insurance claim processes and reimbursement methodologies
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and billing software
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
