Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies with 95%+ accuracy
- Manage denial resolution and appeals for rejected claims
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits before service delivery
- Conduct regular audits of billing codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
- Collaborate with physicians and coding teams for documentation accuracy
- Generate monthly revenue reports for financial analysis
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all billing processes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinical or hospital setting
- Certified Medical Biller (CPC or equivalent) required
- Proficiency in Epic, Athena, or NextGen EHR systems
- Expert knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial insurance regulations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage 200+ daily claims efficiently
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management preferred
