Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, ordering, and restocking of pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Ensure compliance with NJ Board of Pharmacy regulations
- Operate pharmacy technology systems (e.g., Cerner, Omnicell)
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals for optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active NJ Pharmacy Technician license (required)
- 1+ years retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- PTCB certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Proficient in prescription processing and compounding
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Basic computer literacy with EMR systems
- Background check and drug screening required
