Responsibilities
- Submit clean claims to insurance companies and follow up on outstanding payments
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to service
- Code medical services using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines
- Resolve billing discrepancies and appeals with insurance payers
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and billing standards
- Generate monthly reports on key revenue cycle metrics
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience in a clinical setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in Epic, Medisoft, or similar EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial insurance policies
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
