Responsibilities
- Assess Patient Needs: Evaluate symptoms via phone, email, or patient portal to determine the appropriate level of medical care required.
- Prioritize Care: Accurately triage incoming requests, distinguishing between urgent emergencies and routine care needs.
- Documentation: Maintain precise, detailed medical records for all patient interactions in our EMR system.
- Consultation: Collaborate with physicians and nurse practitioners to resolve complex patient queries and facilitate referrals.
- Patient Education: Provide clear instructions on medication, self-care, and follow-up appointments.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with specific experience in triage or telehealth preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Technology: Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and computer software.
