Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and procedures with precision and efficiency.
- Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments and materials are properly sterilized and organized.
- Take and develop digital X-rays and intraoral photographs as required.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
- Manage patient records and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately and confidentially.
- Perform chairside assisting duties including handing instruments and maintaining the patient's comfort.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Assisting program or equivalent certification.
- Current DANB (Dental Assisting National Board) certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a dental office setting.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual dexterity tasks.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to adapt to a flexible schedule.
