Responsibilities
- Submit clean claims to insurance companies and follow up on outstanding accounts
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits eligibility
- Process EOBs and patient statements efficiently
- Resolve billing discrepancies and denials through appeals
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Collaborate with clinical staff for accurate charge documentation
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with CPT/ICD-10 codes
- Certification (CPC, COC, or CCS) preferred
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial payers
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Associate degree in healthcare administration or related field
