**What You'll Do:**
Responsibilities
- Verify and code medical records accurately using ICD-10 and CPT codes.
- Submit claims to insurance payers electronically and resolve any denials.
- Review patient insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations.
- Communicate with patients and insurance companies regarding billing inquiries.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure timely collection of payments.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare compliance and billing regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Medical Biller or Coder (1-3 years preferred).
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Billing software (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth).
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Certification (CPC, CCA, or RHIA) is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
