Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance providers with 95%+ accuracy
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits before service delivery
- Resolve claim denials and appeals through systematic follow-up
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA compliance protocols
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure proper documentation
- Generate monthly revenue cycle performance reports
- Stay updated on CMS and insurance policy changes
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in outpatient/hospital settings
- Certification in medical coding (CPC, CCS, or similar)
- Expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Proficiency with Epic or NextGen EHR platforms
- Strong analytical skills for claim resolution
- Excellent communication for patient/provider interactions
- Ability to manage high-volume claim processing deadlines
