Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their prescribed medications and report any side effects or missed doses to the nurse.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious and appetizing meals based on dietary restrictions and client preferences.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for clients, including light cleaning and laundry.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in conversation and social activities to reduce isolation.
- Transportation: Drive clients to and from medical appointments, grocery stores, or other errands as needed.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and report changes in client health status to the supervising nurse.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health or long-term care is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- License: Valid Texas Driver's License and current auto insurance.
- CPR/BLS: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
