Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance payers with 98%+ accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits for all insurance types
- Appeal denied claims and resolve billing discrepancies proactively
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific guidelines
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure charge capture completeness
- Generate monthly reports on denial trends and collection metrics
- Train staff on new billing procedures and coding updates
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Advanced knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial payer policies
- Proficient with Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
