Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits for accurate reimbursement
- Resolve billing discrepancies and denials through appeals and follow-ups
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain strict patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document services accurately
- Generate monthly reports on key revenue cycle metrics
- Stay updated on coding guidelines (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in Epic, Athena, or similar EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of insurance regulations and claim processing
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage high-volume tasks with precision
