Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance payers and government programs (Medicare/Medicaid)
- Verify patient eligibility, benefits, and pre-authorizations for medical services
- Resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies through systematic follow-up
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and billing regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document accurate coding and documentation
- Analyze aging reports and implement strategies to reduce A/R days
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a hospital or clinic setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Proficiency in Epic, Cerner, or Medisoft EMR systems
- Expert knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
