Responsibilities
- Submit clean claims to insurance payers (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial) using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
- Manage denial resolution with insurers and patients through systematic follow-up
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service delivery
- Maintain accurate patient accounts in Epic EHR system
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and billing regulations
- Collaborate with clinical staff to resolve coding discrepancies
- Generate monthly reports for revenue cycle analysis
Qualifications
- 3+ years medical billing experience in outpatient/hospital setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Proficiency in Epic EHR and DenialMax software
- Deep knowledge of CPT/HCPCS modifiers and fee schedules
- Strong analytical skills for claim trend analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage high-volume accounts with 95% accuracy
