Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, extractions, and root canals
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental X-rays with digital radiography systems
- Manage patient scheduling, records, and insurance verification
- Provide chairside support and patient education on oral hygiene
- Maintain clean, organized treatment rooms and inventory control
- Implement infection control standards and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (RDA or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography (DEXIS, Sirona) practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification and X-ray license
- Exceptional communication skills and patient rapport
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask efficiently
- California state dental board compliance
- Positive attitude and commitment to continuing education
