Responsibilities
- Submit clean claims to insurance companies and follow up on denials/adjustments
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
- Resolve billing discrepancies through precise coding (ICD-10, CPT)
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Collaborate with clinical staff for documentation accuracy
- Generate monthly reports on billing performance metrics
- Train on new billing systems and industry updates
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinical setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Proficiency in Epic or EHR billing systems
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial insurance
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Experience with claim scrubbing and denial management
- Associate degree in Health Information Management preferred
