Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits coverage
- Resolve claim denials and account receivables efficiently
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Analyze EOBs and adjust billing records as needed
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate coding
- Generate monthly reports on billing performance metrics
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience required
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in medical billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
