Responsibilities
- Accurately code and submit medical claims to insurance companies using ICD-10/CPT/HCPCS
- Review EOBs and resolve claim denials within 48 hours
- Maintain patient accounts with precise billing documentation
- Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries and payment plans
- Analyze billing data to identify trends and process improvements
- Comply with HIPAA regulations and industry billing standards
- Collaborate with coding and collections departments
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years medical billing experience
- Proficiency in Epic or Cerner billing systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential preferred
- Expert knowledge of insurance claim processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain 95%+ billing accuracy rate
