Responsibilities
- Accurately process and submit medical claims to insurance providers
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits for comprehensive coverage
- Follow up on denied claims and resolve billing discrepancies
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and insurance regulations
- Utilize Epic EMR and billing software for claim submission
- Generate monthly reports on billing performance and AR metrics
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure coding accuracy
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience
- Certification (CPC, CPC-A, or CBCS) strongly preferred
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Expert knowledge of insurance claim processes and reimbursement
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and medical billing software
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
