Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies with 95% accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service delivery
- Resolve claim denials and appeals within 48 hours
- Perform account receivables follow-up and aging reports
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all billing operations
- Collaborate with clinical teams for charge entry corrections
- Utilize Epic EMR and Lytec billing software daily
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a hospital/clinic setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expert knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Strong proficiency in medical billing software (Epic preferred)
- Proven ability to meet 95% claims acceptance rate
- Excellent communication skills for insurance negotiations
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management or equivalent
