Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies electronically
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage details
- Follow up on denied or pending claims with insurers
- Maintain accurate patient billing records in EHR systems
- Resolve billing discrepancies through patient communication
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and privacy regulations
- Generate monthly billing reports for financial review
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC preferred
- Proficient in medical billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
