- Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage benefits
- Assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnostic procedures
- Follow up on denied claims and appeals with insurance payers
- Generate patient statements and manage payment collections
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare billing regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve billing discrepancies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or Medisoft EHR systems
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding guidelines
- Strong analytical skills for claim denial resolution
- Excellent communication for patient and insurer interactions
- Experience with Nevada Medicaid and Medicare billing
