Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance payers with 95%+ accuracy
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits for all encounters
- Appeal denied claims and resolve payment discrepancies
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document services accurately
- Analyze aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
- Stay updated on CMS guidelines and payer policy changes
Qualifications
- 3+ years medical billing experience in outpatient setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credential required
- Expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Proficient with Epic EHR and RCM platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage 50+ claims daily with precision
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
